VIETNAM NATIONAL DAY EVENT 02/09/2022 AND THE REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE PROGRAM
In the trade bulletin dated 04/07/2022, the Vietnam Business Society in Bangladesh (VBS) informed the business community about gathering Vietnamese enterprises and strong industries for introduction and promotion at the event celebrating the 77th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (chaired by the Embassy of Vietnam). After receiving input from the Vietnamese business community, and following the Ambassador’s consensus and direction, based on the actual situation, VBS informs enterprises as follows:
- Event time: from 18:00 on 02/09/2022 at the Renaissance Hotel (78 Gulshan Avenue, Dhaka 1212, Bangladesh). Participating enterprises are requested to promptly complete their data and specific attendee lists and send them to the Organizing Committee before 29/08/20022.
From 05/09/2022, the Vietnam Business Society in Bangladesh officially launches the following support program for Vietnamese enterprises:
- Program name: “REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE” (free of charge), under which a Vietnamese enterprise will have a representative office and signage presence in Dhaka, Bangladesh (within the headquarters of the Vietnam Business Society) without having to pay any fee. The representative of the Vietnam Business Society in Bangladesh will provide communications support (introducing the enterprise’s products and industry), and will inform the enterprise whenever a relevant opportunity arises so the enterprise can negotiate directly.
- Basic requirements: The enterprise must be established under Vietnamese law, have an understanding of international trade, and have a need to expand into the Bangladesh market; in particular, its business activities must involve specific products or services (eligible for export).
- Detailed requirements: Enterprises joining the program should send to VBS (email in the footer) a soft-copy file including:
- Application to join the program (using VBS’s template).
- Logo and corporate brand identity (if any), together with the business registration certificate.
- Company profile describing the enterprise’s capacity and industry.
- On the part of the enterprise joining the program:
- A prerequisite is that the enterprise must have a website and a company profile file in English or English-Vietnamese.
- Have staff who can communicate in English and understand import-export and international payment.
- Be ready to negotiate with international customers whenever a need arises.
