Bangladesh Visa Application Documents
1. Personal documents
- Original passport (valid for at least 6 months);
- 2 photos, 3.5 x 4.5 cm (white background, taken within the last 6 months);
- Bangladesh tourist visa application form;
- Copy of national ID card;
- Copy of household registration book;
- Invitation letter from Bangladesh (please contact VBCB for guidance and support)
- Letter of request for a Bangladesh visa in English (clearly stating personal background information, place of work over the last 6 months, intended travel destination, a specific day-by-day itinerary, and confirmation that travel costs are self-funded);
2. Employment documents
If you are a business owner
- Copy of the Business Registration Certificate;
If you are staff/an employee:
- Copy of the labor contract
- Leave application for travel purposes;
If you are a pupil/student:
- Leave-of-absence application confirmed by the school;
3. Travel documents
- Hotel booking confirmation,
- Round-trip flight booking confirmation.
- You may also need to prepare a guarantee letter for the trip from your organization
II. Bangladesh Visa Application Process
Step 1: Prepare the Bangladesh visa application documents
First, prepare all documents in full according to the checklist above.
Step 2: Submit the Bangladesh visa application
Bring the complete set of documents to the Embassy of Bangladesh in Hanoi at Villa D6B05, Vuon Dao, Alley 675 Lac Long Quan, Tay Ho District, Hanoi, to submit your application.
► Note: Visa applications are accepted from 09:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday (except public holidays).
Once there, ring the bell to be let in to submit your visa application.
You then submit your documents to the Embassy staff, who will record the receipt of your application in a logbook (including the name and phone number of the person submitting it) in case of any issues that need to be followed up.
The Embassy will then instruct you on how to pay the visa fee, which is done at Vietcombank (to the Embassy’s account).
You will then be issued a receipt slip indicating when to collect your visa result.
If you are not in Hanoi, you can send your visa application by post to the Embassy of Bangladesh, and request that the visa result be returned by post as well.
Step 3: Receive the Bangladesh visa result
There is no fixed visa processing time; it typically ranges from 7-15 days (or longer). The Embassy will call to inform you of the result.
When the visa result is ready, the Embassy will call you to come and collect it.
Documents are returned between 3:30 – 5:00 PM on working days during the week.
